With great pleasure we would like to inform you about the creation of the new company, Caynova AG. From June 1st 2020 on, Caynova AG has the entire responsibility for Lantal’s Pneumatic Comfort System (PCS), Heating and Cooling System (HCS) and Personal Fan System (PFS).

Alstom’s first Citadis tram for the Île-de-France T9 tram line, which connects the Porte de Choisy metro station in Paris with the centre of Orly, was inaugurated in the beginning of last december. The materials for seat covers for the new tram were produced by Lantal.

Helvetic Airways, a Swiss airline, placed an order for twelve new Type E190-E2 jets with Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. They will be progressively deployed starting in late October 2019. The elegant red carpets designed and produced by Lantal are genuine eye-catchers in the cabin and emphasize the airline’s brand.

Young aspiring athletes need the opportunity to successfully pursue their occupational and sports careers at the same time. With a special apprenticeship model, Lantal makes this possible for two interns.

Lantal Textiles AG places great emphasis on training young people in textile-related occupations. This spring, we supported a student at the Lucerne Univer-sity of Applied Sciences and Arts with her bachelor’s thesis in textile design: she had the opportunity to develop and weave her velvet creations together with Lantal.

Mid 2018, the Canadian airline WestJet unveiled the new look of its new, long-awaited Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which begins Canadian domestic service on February 20 and transatlantic service on April 28. In addition to a new livery and logo, the cabin interiors have also been reworked. Lantal supplied the seat covers, carpets and curtains for the Business and Premium Economy cabins.

Once a year, for students enrolled in the Textile Design Department of the Lucerne School of Art and Design, Lantal offers counsel as an external partner within the scope of a project. This gives students insights into one of the few textile companies in Switzerland that still manufacture their products locally. During the project for an imaginary customer, they design interior fabrics for a passenger jet cabin and can implement their ideas on Lantal's looms.

In 2019, the regional Bern-Solothurn rail network (RBS) will be gradually introducing fourteen new trainsets. They are scheduled to run on the S7 line between Worb and Bern as well as on the S9 line between Unterzollikofen and Bern. The unique project features new Lantal seat covers.
